Rehearse First is built so that practising a difficult conversation does not create a record of it attached to your name. This policy describes exactly what is collected, why, and who else sees it.
The app does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. When you first open it, an anonymous account is created and stored on your device. It identifies your credit balance, purchase grants, stored rehearsal records, and backend diagnostics. This is a persistent account identifier, not a guarantee that submitted content cannot identify you.
| Data | Why | Linked to you |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous user ID | Holds your credit balance and your rehearsals | Yes — persistent anonymous account |
| Purchase history | To add credits you have paid for | Anonymous ID only |
| Rehearsal content — the situation you describe and what you type during a rehearsal | To generate the other person's replies and your debrief | Anonymous ID only |
| Performance and other backend diagnostics | To find and fix bugs | Linked to anonymous account ID |
| Sentry crash reports | To find and fix bugs | User fields stripped; SDK diagnostic identifiers may remain |
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, health data, or advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.
What you write during a rehearsal is sent to Moonshot AI so that a language model can produce the counterpart's replies and your debrief. It is sent without an account ID deliberately attached, but your text may identify you or someone else. Moonshot processes it to return a response.
Our database stores setup details, a generated character brief, the latest reply, and generated feedback under your anonymous account. The full typed conversation is sent for AI processing; it is not stored as a complete transcript in our rehearsal table. Saved device history contains feedback, which may quote your words.
What we cannot promise: Moonshot's own terms permit it to use content sent to its API to develop and improve its services. We have not verified a contractual no-training or zero-retention arrangement. Until we have one, you should assume that what you type during a rehearsal may be used by Moonshot in that way. We would rather tell you that than let you find it out from someone else's terms of service.
This is the reason to keep other people's real names and confidential details out of your rehearsals. "My manager", "someone on my team", or a first name is enough to make a rehearsal work — the app never needs to know who anyone actually is.
No automatic expiry for rehearsal, credit, or backend diagnostic records has been verified. These records remain until removed through our deletion process. The configured Sentry account was verified on the free Developer plan on 9 October 2026; Sentry's current documentation specifies 30-day event retention for that plan, not 90 days. This is not a promise that every provider record or backup expires after 30 days. Provider retention follows each provider's policy and legal obligations; removing our account records does not automatically erase Apple, RevenueCat, Moonshot, or backup records.
The 1.0.1 replacement, when available, asks permission before sending rehearsal content to AI. Withdrawing permission in Settings blocks future AI requests, not requests already sent or historical records. App-sent technical diagnostics and Sentry reporting are optional and off by default in that release. Our backend may still record account-linked technical error codes needed to operate and troubleshoot a requested rehearsal; the app's diagnostic toggle does not disable these server records or infrastructure logs. The currently public 1.0 app does not have these new controls. Clearing saved debriefs removes local history only.
In the 1.0.1 replacement, open Settings → Privacy → Delete account and confirm permanent deletion. The server verifies your signed-in anonymous account; you do not need an email or password. Deletion removes that authentication account and its Supabase rehearsal records, diagnostic records, credit balance and ordinary ledger events. The app then clears its saved debriefs and privacy permissions. It does not automatically create another account; starting again requires your explicit choice.
Unused credits, including purchased credits, and history are permanently lost. Deletion does not issue an Apple refund or restore consumable credits to a new account. We retain minimal purchase evidence (transaction/event reference, credit amount, pack reason and dates) separately for financial reconciliation and applicable legal obligations, without the deleted account ID or rehearsal content. No fixed expiry for these retained records has been established. Providers and backups may retain records under their own policies and legal obligations; this operation does not promise to erase records already held by Apple, RevenueCat, Moonshot or Sentry.
Until that update is available, or for requests about provider-held records, contact us using the address below. We must verify account ownership before acting.
You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time. Because accounts are anonymous, we must verify which account is yours before acting. An Apple receipt alone may not establish access to an anonymous account. Email turigyebusiness@gmail.com and we will help you identify the appropriate verified request process.
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to object to it. Exercising them will never cost you anything.
Rehearse First is intended for working adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above changes and the new version is posted here before it takes effect.
